L Ray Sears III who is the expert on Sears family genealogy and history believes that Richard Sears has an unmarked grave in the Sears family plot. This is reported in the Cape Cod Genealogical Society Bulletin Vol 29 No 1 Spring 2003 Issue 96. Possibly he is buried near the large boulder shown above which is in the front center of the cemetery.
