John Noyes (1674 - 1749) was a Boston silversmith who also was a gravestone carver. He may be the early carver in the Boston area who initialed several stones J. N. The initialed stones are dated about 1700 and no J. N. stones are dated after 1705. The following markers attributed to Noyes suggest his silversmith background.
