Most of the inscription is missing. The inscription above is from previous surveys.

The top left photo shows the headstone with cement filler in the top half which made the stone top heavy. The top right photo shows the headstone broken and flat on the ground. It apparently broke in the windstorm of December 9, 2005.

The bottom two photos show the stone front and back after it was conserved in October 2007. See the comments section below.

LOCATION - No. NE 28 on EHS 1976 survey map
MATERIAL - slate
HEADSTONE - 15" W, 34" H, 2" D
FOOTSTONE - 8" W, 15" H, 2" D

COMMENTS - Headstone back and edges encased in resin bonded fiberglass applied about 1977. The top half of the headstone is all cement. In October 2007 the base of the broken stone was excavated. Fiberglass backing was removed from the base and from the top. The cement in-fill was removed from the top section. Epoxy adhesive was used to bond the base to the top and to bond loose pieces in place. Mortar was applied to fill all cracks and voids in the front and back. The headstone was cleaned and reset. Footstone cleaned October 2008.
