This gravestone was found April 2006 during step reconstruction at Trees's Place Art Gallery in Orleans. The stone had been placed carved side down and used as a step. Almira Harding is listed on a Harding family monument in Orleans Cemetery according to a 1960 survey. Only the year of birth and death (1806 - 1850) is on the monument. There is no information in the 1960 survey from the original gravestone such as month and day of death. Most likely this stone was taken from Orleans Cemetery many years ago. The stone is signed by Thomas A Hopkins (1826 - 1909) who had a stone carving shop in Orleans.

A headstone for Charles H Lyman (d1863) also was found at the same time in the Tree's Place steps. A mid 1900's survey shows he has a grave marker in Chatham Seaside Cemetery. The survey information is consistent with but different than his gravestone information. This suggests his gravestone was stolen from Chatham Seaside Cemetery.
