The gravestone displays a winged skull carved in the style of William Mumford or Nathaniel Emmes of Boston. The left photo shows the headstone with the footstone in the background. This gravestone and the nearby gravestone of Jonathan Sparrow (1706/7) are the two oldest gravestones on the Lower Cape from Orleans to Provincetown.
